Where is Sanctuary Cultural Arts Center located?
Sanctuary Cultural Arts Center is located at 82 Main Street in Maynard, MA. We are 40 minutes west of Boston, 30 minutes northeast of Worcester and 25 minutes south of Lowell. -
Where can I park?
Because we are located on Main Street, there is ample public parking available. Visit townofmaynard-ma.gov for more information. Please note from December 1 - March 15 there is no parking on the street overnight from 2am to 6am. -
Can I go to the bar if I’m not attending the concert or event in the main hall?
Yes, check Bar & Lounge for hours of operation. The bar is accessible through the River Street entrance on the left side of the building. This door will be locked when doors open for our main hall shows. On nights that we have a sold out show in the main hall, the bar will be closed to non-ticket holders beginning at “Doors” for the concert. At this time, non-ticket holders will be asked to settle up and exit the building. On nights that we have a private event, the bar will be closed to the general public. What is your capacity?
Sanctuary is a 5,000 square foot multi-purpose facility with a general admission capacity of 367 and a seated capacity of 269. -
Is Sanctuary Cultural Arts Center wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Please use the ramp to the right of the front doors to enter the building. ADA requests should be directed to info@sanctuarymaynard.com. -
Is Sanctuary Cultural Arts Center hearing accessible?
Yes. To access our WaveCAST WiFi system, please download the app onto your phone in advance of the show you are attending here: https://williamsav.com/product/wavecast-app/. Upon arrival, please ask to speak with a sound engineer who will give you a password to access the router. During the show, audio is streamed to an app on your personal device, which can then connect via Bluetooth to an assistive listening device. -
Where can I get tickets?
Grab tickets to our shows by clicking on “Concerts and Events” and selecting “Buy Tickets” on the event of your choice. -
Can I buy tickets to multiple shows through one transaction?
Yes! Through our ticketing partner Showare, you can add tickets to multiple shows to your shopping cart. -
Can I bring a bag with me?
Small bags and purses are allowed. No oversized bags, purses, duffle bags or backpacks are allowed. All bags may be subjected to search. -
Am I allowed to bring drinks or food with me?
No outside beverages are allowed inside Sanctuary when the bar is open. This includes personal water bottles. At this time, you are allowed to bring food into the venue. Maynard Pizza Bar will deliver right to your table - scan the QR code on your table to order and receive a 10% discount. (Please check MPB’s website for hours of operation before ordering.) El Hupil also serves tacos every Tuesday in the main hall. -
Do you have a coat check?
There is an unmonitored coat rack by the door that you are welcome to use. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. -
Does my young child need a ticket to attend an event with me?
Everyone who attends an event at Sanctuary needs a ticket. Unless specifically noted, shows at Sanctuary are “All Ages.” -
Am I allowed to bring a camera?
Phone camera use is permitted but flash photography is not allowed. -
Am I allowed to reenter the venue if I leave during a show?
Yes, all attendees will receive a wristband upon admission that will give you access back into the venue. Reentry is only permitted through the front doors by the ticketing counter.

What is the refund policy?
All sales are final. No refunds will be issued unless an event is cancelled. -
If a show is cancelled, how do I get a refund?
If you purchased a ticket online through our website, you will be refunded automatically. All other refunds can be processed at the point of purchase. -
Why is the online ticket system rejecting my credit card?
The security of your credit card information and data is of utmost importance to us. Because of this, we have activated an additional step in the purchasing process that verifies the accuracy of your zip code. If the zip code you enter doesn’t match the zip code on file with your credit card company, the transaction will be rejected. Please double check the accuracy of your zip code and try again. -
What is the fee structure of your tickets?
For purchases online, there is a $2.00 processing fee per ticket that goes towards paying our ticketing provider, Accesso Showare. There is an additional $2.00 historical fee per ticket that goes towards general upkeep and renovations of our historic building. Box office purchases are subject to an additional $2.00 Will Call fee/order. -
I cannot attend. How do I resell my ticket?
Go to sanctuarymaynard.showare.com and click on “Account Login.” Once you are in your account, you will be able to put your tickets up for resale. If someone purchases your tickets, you will receive a credit in your account to use towards a future show at Sanctuary. -
I purchased a ticket through a third party. How do I know it’s real?
We can only guarantee the validity of tickets purchased through sanctuarymaynard.showare.com. Under no circumstance do we advise purchasing a ticket through a third party website or through Facebook or other social media platforms. Please be aware that it is a common scam to “resell” tickets this way.
